Join us in on 10th Street in San Antonio on Friday, March 30 as we bring the Texas Capital Vietnam Veterans Monument maquette to celebrate “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans” at the Sam Houston VFW Post 76 celebration. We’ll be doing a formal presentation at 6:00 p.m. about the “Texas Welcome Home” that the Monument represents for all Texans who served in the Vietnam War.
The United States Congress established March 30 as Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day to provide a national salute to all who served. The Texas legislature has also designated the day by resolution.
The Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument maquette is a scale model of the Duke Sundt sculpture that will take its place on the grounds of the state Capitol building to honor Texans who served and sacrificed in the war. We hope you’ll come check it out!

Come join us in San Antonio as we celebrate along with VFW Post 76 and the citizens of San Antonio a Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day. It is a day long celebration that promises to show Texas Vietnam veterans how much we honor and respect their sacrifice and service in Vietnam. Remember – Honor – Learn.
