The Texas Capitol Vietnam Veterans Monument comes to life.
The process of building a monument honoring Texas veterans of the Vietnam War on the Capitol grounds will take approximately one year at the Deep in the Heart Art Foundry in Bastrop. Artist Duke Sundt visits the foundry during particular steps in the process to ensure that every detail is exactly perfect. The entire process will be documented here so that all Texans can watch it unfold.
